About the author…
Karen Trotter Elley has been a freelance writer for more than 30 years. Her articles, interviews and essays have been published in newspapers and magazines across the country, including the Nashville Tennessean, Toledo Blade, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, and the Christian Science Monitor. One of Karen’s humorous articles won the annual fiction-writing contest in a Wisconsin magazine.
In 2014, her inspirational essay, The Messenger, was selected for publication in the Chicken Soup for the Soul: Touched by an Angel book. Elley has expanded the article into a film screenplay of the same name. And her book More Angels Everywhere is also based on her selected essay.
For more than 12 years, Elley was a production designer and writer for the national publication BookPage: America’s Book Review. During that time, she wrote numerous romance and children’s book reviews including interviews with such notable authors as Nora Roberts, Fern Michaels, and Julie Garwood
